Il tema affrontato è molto attuale: il lavoro. Il problema della sicurezza “del” e “nel” lavoro. Problema visto dagli occhi di un operaio deceduto sul proprio posto, ma soprattutto dagli occhi di uno studente imbrigliato nelle redini di un sistema che non offre garanzie. Attraverso un lungo Rap le rime recitate da Tiziano Panici e Mauro Santopietro verranno colorate dagli ambienti visivi realizzati da Andrea Giansanti e dalle note composte e eseguite dal vivo da Sina Habibi.
Nello scegliere il linguaggio dei personaggi l’autore Mauro Santopietro ha creato nel testo una musicalità, un rap appunto, affidandosi al dialetto romano considerato nella specifica circostanza di messa in scena un efficace strumento di rappresentazione. La musicalità data da assonanze ed immagini create non è però sufficiente a farne una drammaturgia; per questo si è cercato di trasformare le dinamiche di suono della parola in dinamiche di senso e di rapporto nella parola. “RaeP” vuole essere quindi una esplorazione sul linguaggio, dove non solo corpo e parola, ma anche luce e scenografia, diventano scrittura scenica. Il tema affrontato è il lavoro.
La trama prende spunto da due articoli di cronaca: “Uno studente decide di suicidarsi presso la stazione della metro di Roma Tiburtina (11-2009)”; e “Un operaio muore scivolando in un dirupo nel tratto ferroviario Roma-Napoli (09-2009)”. Dalla relazione dei due personaggi emergerà l’impossibilità per la nostra società di risolvere i problemi senza far appello all’aggregazione.

This mooted theme is very much up to date: work, the issue of security “of” and “at” work. A problem seen through the eyes of a worker who died while at his job, but also through the eyes of a student entangled in the fine mesh of a system grid that holds no guaranties. During a long rap the verses recited by Tiziano Panici and Mauro Santopietro will be colourfully illuminated by visual environments created by Andrea Giansanti and by the notes composed and performed by Sina Habibi. In his choice of the language of the characters the author Mauro Santopietro has created musical rhythm, a true rap, where in the Roman dialect set against the backdrop of a specific staging is considered an efficient representation instrument. The musicality introduced by the assonance and imagery is yet insufficient to create by itself a dramaturgy; this is sought to be accomplished transforming the dynamics of spoken sound in dynamics of meaning and relation within the word. Thus “RaeP” seeks to be research on language where not only body and word, but also light and stage design become scenic writing. The theme confronted here is work.
The storyline originates from two articles in the news: “A student decides to commit suicide at the Tiburtina subway station (11-2009)”; and “A worker dies slipping in a shaft at the railway Rome-Naples (09-2009). The relation of these two persons reveals the impossibility of our society to resolve problems without a call for reunion.
