Scultura cinetica in alluminio, hard disk, rame, ottone, viteria inox. Diametro 60cm, altezza 35cm. La scultura è composta di due rotori con otto pale in alluminio deformate a rotazione contrapposta. In presenza di vento, anche leggero, la scultura entra in rotazione. La luce viene riflessa dalle pale creando effetti visivi che catturano l’attenzione dell’osservatore.

Paolo Uliana (Roma – 1956) è stato tra i primi in Italia a dedicarsi alla computer-art (Omaggio a Mondrian, Viaggio nella luce, ecc). Da allora la sua attenzione si è progressivamente spostata al di fuori del computer, dal quale ora si limita ad estrarre parti che utilizza per le sue sculture dinamiche.

Giostra (Carousel)

Kinetic sculpture (aluminum, hard disk, copper, brass, screws, stainless steel. Diameter 60 cm, hight 35 cm. The sculpture is fashioned of two rotors with eight deformed aluminum boards in contrary rotation. With wind, even light wind the sculpture begins to rotate. The light is being reflected by the metal blades, creating eye-catching visual effects.

Paolo Uliana (Rome – 1956) was among the first Italian artists to dedicate themselves to computer art (Hommage to Mondrian, Voyages Ito the Light etc.) In the mean time his attention gradually turned away from the computer which today serves as technical supply for his dynamic sculptures.
